Little Munchkins

I am working with the Early Learning Coalition on part of a QRIS Pilot Project which is basically making parents aware of quality daycare's by eventually giving daycare's a star rating!!!

I attend numerous training's and meetings at the Early Learning Coalition. To keep myself up to date with childhood education. I agree 100% with the Montessori Curriculum and am trying to incorporate that into my daycare.

Daily Activities

Children constantly learn throughout the days activities. That is why we will be doing age appropriate play, with clay, play dough, finger painting, drawing, painting, colouring, singing, reading books, writing, building blocks, puzzles and playing outdoors are a typical day of events.

As some activities can be messy I encourage comfortable, washable play clothes every day.

 Meals & Snacks

Healthy nutrition is an important part of a child's development. I emphasize fresh and natural foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grain breads.

Parents are welcome to prepare special birthday or holiday treats with advance notice. Please bring enough for the entire group.

 NO latex balloons please.

Diaper & Toilet Training

I will use disposable diapers only which will be provided by the parents.

In order to be successful in this training, it is important that we are consistent in our techniques.

Cleanliness and hand washing will be emphasized during the training process.

My goal is to help each child develop a strong sense of self discipline and self esteem.
